Oh what fun we had!

Yep - we did everything on my list! (well we tried to at least)

We were up early on Wednesday morning and down to the beach to dig and chase waves; we had morning tea with the kid's grandparents; we cooked pancakes; we went exploring; we played monopoly (even the kid's is loooong - especially because Hannah kept bailing Leah out!; we played in the park; we had a deep spa bath (and soaked the bathroom - damn those jets!); we read Narnia and Jennings (but I didn't quite get to Rivers because the Eldredge book I am reading at the moment is taking me more time and thought than I expected); we snuggled and pjed it on Thursday morning; the kids went to Kids Club in the morning and watched movies and played games while I sat in the beautiful sun and knitted and sang; Leah and I went out for "coffee" and some girl talk while Hann and Caleb chose Kids Club again in the afternoon and came back with some wonderful canvas paintings to hang on my wall; we tried to watch an in-house movie but unfortunately the TV wasn't working (or the connection or something); we had dinner with the kid's grandparents and an interesting microwave cake which was more bread than cake (it was an experiment in the first place so I am just glad that it was edible!). We chatted and played and jumped on beds (well the kids did at least) and wandered along the foreshore on dusk.

It was a beautiful time full of happy memories and lots of cuddles.

I can't wait to do it all again next year!

OH and sorry - no pics. I didn't have my camera and Leah forgot to bring hers...

Oh well - the memories are seared onto my heart and theirs too I think. That's what matters.
