My bad...

Sorry that it has taken me over a month to post... There's no excuse really...

So what has been happening?

Well, the kids are due down to visit in 10 days... I know... its only two posts since they last visited! We are going to be flat out while they are here. We will be in Narooma for a few days, and when we're not in Narooma we will be flat out visiting friends and doing a few fun things... I am really looking forward to it!

Leah got an A in her third grade trumpet exam in mid-August... We were all very proud of her. She is excited at the moment because she is now studing for her fourth grade exams and she is IN Year 4! Cutie.

Caleb is very proud of himself... he is doing poos on the toilet! Don't you just love sharing those great mummy moments? Steve has this deal with him that if he does so many per week he gets to go bushwalking on the weekend... So he has been putting in his best effort!

Hannah's 7th birthday has been and gone - yes her 7th! Where does it go? Unfortunately I missed out on helping her celebrate this one... I presented to my psychologist appointment two days earlier feeling quite "vulnerable" and unsure about whether these feelings would get worse or just go away. In the end, my psych walked me down to mental health and I spent an hour being assessed. For the first time in oh so many years, the suggestion was NOT to go to hospital! Instead they suggested increasing my anti-psychotic... and while mum and I decided that it was the safer option to stay home and not risk a potential admission to Banksia while I was in Tamworth (their public psych ward), I bounced back really quickly. Instead of staying in bed all day with no energy, I prayed and I cried out to God to deliver on his promise of "a sound mind" (2 Tim 1:7) And he delivered! I was able to focus on college assignments and sit for reasonable lengths of time. I said to mum, and to Lee, I think that I was swamped in the Bible as I wrote my assignments in the following days, had a great impact on my thought processes...

So while I missed Hann's birthday, it was a positive time... And I am hoping that when the kids come down in the next couple of weeks, to take Hannie to Wollongong to see a kids production at the IPAC to make it up to her...

No photos of Hannah's birthday or party yet... I am still waiting on Steve to upload them to Picasa... but I will post a few as soon as I get some!

And then there is College... So far I have received a HD for my first Creative Living Assignemnt, a Credit for my first Old Testament tutorial paper and 100% for my first OT short answer quiz... so things are going well. I have been a little lazy this week - too much time on the computer and knitting - and I really have to get my butt into gear and listen to this weeks lectures and catch up on some Creative Living lectures now that I have received a CD with the lectures on it! And I have another tut paper due in the second week that the kids are down - so I need to knock that over while I have a chance in the next 10 days or so...

And my church had its 1 year anniversary last week. We celebrated with a meal and some great table discussion and topped it off with Lee and Janet's baptism which was great. We're really looking forward to what God wants to do through us in this coming year...

And for those who are wondering, mum is doing really well. She had a chest xray and a visit to the specialist a couple of weeks ago and he said that despite the pneumonia and the 20+ years of smoking (which she gave up 15 years ago) that while there was a small amount of damage, she has in no way has shortened her lifespan from her years of smoking... which is really positive!

Anyway, I hope that this finds you all well!
Love and hugs
