What's the buzz?

"Tell me what's a happenin'"

Whoops... just having a JC Superstar moment... that was a great show!

Fast forward from 2005 back to 2009 and guess who turned 4 this week???

Yes! 4! Can you believe it.... that bump in my belly that was blessed by Jesus during "Hosanna!" is now only 12 months off starting school - prep albeit, but school nonetheless!

To celebrate, I drove to Tamworth last weekend and had a weekend with the kids... Caleb played happily with his presents all weekend - the remote control Lightning McQueen car was a huge hit - as was his Megabloks McQueen and Mac...

We played Sleeping Queens and watched some TV, did some tapestry and generally just hung out... it was wonderful....

Coming back home to reality was a bit of a leap... I struggled with depression for a few days... but it was an interesting kind of depression... it had all of the physical hallmarks of depression, but I was able to hold on to my rational self, pray, talk and get through it reasonably quickly. I have no way to explain this except it seems that as I am learning to draw closer to God, things tend to stay in perspective... So I am staying in His presence thankyou very much!

I start a 40 hour work placement at the local library on Monday - one day per week for a few weeks until I hit the 40 hour ceiling. If they like me and I like them, it may well lead to paid work which would be fantastic. It would put me in a position of being able to save for my own place... It may take me 12 - 18 months, but I am really growing to like the idea of developing some autonomy...

My studies have been put to the side at this stage. I want to pursue the opportunities that are opening up through this job as well as with my church's work in East Nowra... that will give me a full plate for the time being. I will reassess the study thing a little further down the track... Not all is lost though, because I have learned so much from the Creative Living and Old Testament lectures... I have grown so much because of them.

As for the kids... Leah has been selected out of all of her trumpet teacher's students to receive the class prize for this year at the Tamworth Con (each teacher chooses one certificate winner and one prize winner out of all of their students)... her awards ceremony will be next Friday and she is very excited! She has also been selected to participate in some specific basketball training sessions and apparently shows some promise (you'd never guess that she was MY kid ;) )... Hannah is enjoying her gymnastics and they have both just been visited by the Life Education Van and met up with Harold again for this year. Leah has also just finished a two week swimming scheme with the school - Hann won't get to participate until she is in Year 3... but Leah seems to have really enjoyed that. The girls also got a visit this week from the Western Plain Zoo at school...

So much is happening for the girls!

As for Caleb - He is doing wees on the toilet! Quite often and quite confidently. He has still to conquer the number 2s but all in good time. He also had a ball at preschool the other week when they had "Mask Day"... Steve found a Bob the Builder mask on the internet, printed it in colour, attached elastic and voila! He LOVED his Bob mask!

Well, that is all from me at this stage. No photos of Caleb's birthday yet. Leah took all of the photos last weekend on her camera, so I will have to wait until Steve uploads them to picasa before I can show them...
