Leavin' On A Jet Plane

Well - not quite - rather on a (or issued forthwith by a) Subaru!

Tomorrow - sometime late morning/lunchtime, dad and I are headed off to Canberra.

Finally!

I can't wait.

Here's what Lake George looked like when I left on the 12th Dec - this is at it's deepest point...

I can't wait to see if there is any water in it at all after our mammoth rainfalls over December/January! Probably not - the water table is probably still rising - but I will certainly be looking! I remember driving to Canberra back in 1996 for the start of 1st Year at ANU and it being SO full!

I even remember something about an urban legend that Lake George was somehow tied to a lake somewhere in Canada which drained as Lake George filled and as LG filled, the one in Canada drained....???

Oh yes, and speaking of Canada, please remember my dear friends Sharon and Jami in your prayers - they are doing a mercy dash across to Canada tomorrow hopefully as Sharon's mum is extremely ill.

Canberra - here I come!
