29.10.07

I had an OK day today. All of my clothes were dirty from hospital so I was left with a pair of track pants to wear on a reasonably hot day. They're not the most flattering pair either. I had toast for breakfast. Very carby. Lol! I miss Carbs. I wonder what he's up to nowadays.

Anyway, must make a mental note to have eggs for breakfast. High protein - much better for me.

Bummed around on the computer for a while waiting for Amy to arrive. Once she did, with my beautiful neice Ella we went into town. We started out at Gloria Jeans (of course!) and I was feeling particularly over myself. So I thought "bugger it" and had Mortal Sin cheesecake with my Coco Loco. Very rich and naughty. Then we picked up some groceries for Amy while she fed Ella.

We went over to Nowra Fair and I found a pair of jeans, a pair of shorts and a top to go with the jeans. The shorts are a little tight but the jeans and the top look good (will look even better when I start losing weight). I love the shade of blue that my top is too. (Sssh! Don't tell anyone that it is a maternity top!)

We wandered around the shops for a while so that Amy could look for a dress to wear to a wedding this weekend. Not exactly my favourite past-time but it wasn't too bad. Then we went back to K-mart so I could layby Caleb's birthday presents - a Little People Noah's Ark and a LP Car Wash. I also laybyed two sets of gym clothes (I'm going back to the gym - YAY!) and a pair of 3/4 jeans and a top. I also paid some money off our LP Nativity Set. Its nice to have a little bit of financial moving room for once in my life.

Amy decided that she couldn't find what she wanted and that she would go with us to Wollongong on Thursday to look there.

So we went back over to town and went to the Melting Pot for coffee - well I had a Coke and a muesli and yoghurt pot (blueberry). VERY yummy! After that, we went to Target and I laybyed Caleb's birthday outfit. It is soooo cute! Now I've done all of Caleb's birthday shopping. I'm very proud, I must say! We had a squiz in a couple more shops for Amy and I paid some more money on my Rockman's layby.

I dropped in to see the kids and I bathed them, which was fun. They were reasonably settled when I left too. I took my doona, cover and some clothes and mail with me. I must remember to pick up my car money box and get my VISA card off Steve when I see him next.

I played on the computer, had dinner and unpacked some stuff while mum and dad were out at a VVCS course. I have been thinking of ringing Kerry for some counselling. I must get that organised.

Not much on tomorrow, just generally bumming around. But I have some craft time planned.

Thought for pondering: If I'm no longer with Steve, should I still wear the rings he has given me?

I know this post is years old, but if I were you, I'd put the rings aside for your daughters when they are grown up.

Even if you aren't with their dad anymore, it will mean something to them that those rings were gifts from their dad to their mum, way back when...
